Role
The Information Assurance team are seeking an advisor who will be a key member of the Team that provides support and assistance to all areas of City St George's on the application of Data Protection and Information Management Legislation to its activities, reporting to the Team Leader.
Duties and responsibilities
- Handle Information Rights and Third Party Data Requests, and process Freedom of Information 2000 and Environmental Information Regulations 2004 Requests. I
Skills and experience
- Relevant administrative experience and demonstrate strong transferable skills appropriate to the role.
- General awareness of the legal and regulatory framework governing data protection, freedom of information, and records management is required, with training provided as needed.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, along with strong time‑management and organisational abilities, are essential.
- Be able to remain patient and objective, and communicate clearly and constructively with colleagues across the University.
- Experience working in an environment that handles Data Protection, FOI or compliance‑related tasks would be an advantage.
- Awareness of UK GDPR, Data Protection Act 2018, Freedom of Information Act 2000, and Environmental Information Regulations 2004.
