*Ringfenced to level 5 & 6 LJMU students*
The Teaching and Learning Academy is looking for one Level 5 or 6 students with experience in content creation, graphic design, and marketing communications to help bring the project materials to life in a clear, engaging and creative way. These communications will support parents and guardians in understanding the experiences of first in family students and will also contribute to Outreach materials for young boys and their parents.
This project aims to co create accessible, authentic resources with students and parents to help improve understanding, communication, and support, especially around the experiences of first in family students. The visuals will assist with supporting parents and guardians better understand the challenges their children may face and how they can support them effectively. The project will also develop promotional materials aimed at young boys and their parents, which can be used in Outreach activities.

Duties and responsibilities
What you’ll do:
- Draw out key parts of the project and turn them into engaging visuals (Posters / Infographics / Visual Summaries/ Flyers / Booklets etc.)
- Create graphics in line with LJMU branding
- Work collaboratively with the project team and Corporate Communications
- Help shape accessible, authentic resources for students and families

Skills and experience
What we’re looking for:
- An empathetic and creative eye for visual storytelling and turning key messages into clear, engaging designs.
- Experience creating graphics, layouts, or digital content for print or via online platforms.
- Someone reliable who can attend project meetings, understand the brief, and translate ideas into thoughtful visual materials.
- Observant and comfortable suggesting creative approaches or alternative design ideas when something could work better.
- Comfortable editing in line with LJMU branding and open to feedback from the project team and Corporate Communications
