Role
Unitemps are recruiting for a Project Officer. This role is for an asap start date and has a projected end date of April 10th 2026 though this may be extended. This is a full-time role at 36.5 hours per week. Payment is set at £23.11 per hour + £4.33 holiday pay. This role will be UCL hybrid working with 2 days from the office and the other days from home.

Duties and responsibilities
Supporting and coordinating the planning, delivery and review of projects, throughout the project lifecycle, according to project management principles:
- Preparing and/or reviewing project documentation for project concept, initiation, delivery and closure phases
- Working with project owners and drivers to identify objectives, outcomes and outputs of projects and to determine resources required to deliver the project
- Working with project teams to support the delivery of plans and achieve successful outcomes
- Initiating project tasks
- Preparing content for meetings, drafting minutes and capturing actions
- Identifying and tracking project risks and issues, escalating as necessary
Engaging with stakeholders from within I&E and across UCL (including I&E Directors and senior stakeholders from across the institution) to develop projects and ensuring engagement
Project Communication:
- Planning and coordinating project communication activity
- Communicating project progress to stakeholders at all levels
Providing project oversight and governance:
- Assisting with making project governance arrangements and drafting committee papers
- Supporting project portfolio monitoring and reporting, including drafting update reports and maintaining the project register
- Project document management and administration (including lessons and risk and issue log)
- Budget management, collating financial reports of project expenditure
- Supporting the development of and embedding a continuous improvement approach
- Supporting the development of project management training and guidance for the I&E team.
Assisting with business analysis and supporting business change activities.
Skills and experience
- Educated to first degree level (or equivalent) - Essential
- Effective use of project management methodologies, principles and techniques - Essential
- Delivery in a project management / support role in a higher education or an equivalent working environment - Desirable
- Professional Project Management Qualification - Desirable
- Experience of continuous improvement - Desirable
Location
UCL; Hybrid working with 2 days per week at the office and the others from home
