Description
Role
To connect partnerships working with young people and build awareness of the Employment and Skills Hub and Connect to Work programme. Support the referral of young people who need 1:1 support to enter/re-enter the labour market or help to retain their employment. By acting as the interface between key stakeholders and partners, the post holder will ensure that participants of the Connect to Work programme have access to holistic support which help them to achieve their employment ambitions.
Duties and responsibilities
- Build strong partnerships with organisations supporting young people, including Youth Support Services, Children & Families Hubs, mental health providers, housing, education/training providers, and Jobcentre Plus.
- Promote awareness of the Employment and Skills Hub and the Connect to Work programme to partners and young people across Gloucestershire.
- Identify and refer young people who need 1:1 support to enter, re-enter, or sustain employment, ensuring they access the right help at the right time.
- Act as the key link between stakeholders and the Connect to Work team, ensuring young people receive holistic support tailored to their needs.
- Work collaboratively with Employment Specialists and other Hub teams to coordinate support and share best practices.
- Represent the programme at meetings, events, and networking opportunities to strengthen engagement and referral pathways.
- Monitor and report progress, sharing insights and feedback to improve outcomes for young people and enhance partnership working
Skills and experience
• Has experience of working with young people
• Has a good understanding of the barriers faced by young people
• Is confident working with a wide range of partners both face to face and virtually
