Role

The University of Northampton is looking for a graphic designer on a temporary basis.

This is a 13-hour post to support dissemination of research findings as part of a project with the University’s Geography team and funded by RGS-IBG.

The successful candidate will design an infographic to summarise the findings of the research about how mentoring partnership programmes could be set up between HE and A-Level Geography departments to support students completing NEAs. 

You will also be responsible for transforming into a visually appealing format some written guidance for schools and universities about how to operationalise mentoring links.

Duties and responsibilities

• To design an infographic and other guidance materials suitable for use by schools and university Geography departments

• To liaise with project team members to understand the requirements of the infographic and other outputs

• The post holder will be responsible and accountable for ensuring all employment legislative requirements are adhered to including equality and diversity and health and safety issues.  

• The job description may be altered at any time in the future in line with the level of the post to meet changing institutional requirements, but only in full consultation with the post holder

Skills and experience

Undertaking an undergraduate degree in graphic design or a related discipline          

Experience of producing graphical outputs to meet a specific brief

Ability to produce professional or academic documents, reports and presentations for varied audiences

Ability to work independently and prioritise tasks to manage own time

Additional information

The closing date for this role is the 9th April, and interviews will take place online on the 14th April.

The start date will be the 20th April and the work will be completed by the 31st July. 

The role is 13 hours of work in total.
