Role

City St George's Professional Education Team are currently looking an Administrator to join the department on a temporary basis.

 

Duties and responsibilities

• To work with colleagues across the Centre to plan the delivery of professional education courses, deliver processes throughout the academic year.

• Support a range of activities for professional education ranging from recruitment, admissions and enrolment, induction, in-course support, through to course completion.

• To support the coordination programme administration processes within professional education, including timetabling, assessment processes, placements and Professional Statutory and Regulatory Bodies (PSRB) activity in line with the University’s deadlines and regulations, and external requirements.

• To support the lifecycle of courses, utilising systems, and databases – e.g., student records systems and virtual learning environments – accordingly, and in accordance with best practice, ensuring consistency of data and identifying and resolving issues.

• Support communication activities within the Centre including the provision of information, advice and guidance on the website, production, and distribution of professional education newsletter, and being the main point of contact for general queries

.• Work flexibly as part of a team, supporting others in times of high-volume activity. Participating in and coordinating inductions for professional learners, and deputising for the line manager as and when required.

• To ensure all work is carried out in a professional and timely manner, with appropriate confidentiality and sensitivity. Maintain up to date knowledge of data protection requirements and to support Freedom of information and subject access requests.

Skills and experience

• Successful track record in administering events and courses 

• Accurate worker and high attention to detail including when under pressure

• Passion for delivering a great service and good customer service

• High level of prioritisation and organisation to manage a high volume of work and priorities effectively

• Strong organisational, time-management and communication skills

• Experience of working in administration within an education environment

• Good working knowledge of Microsoft packages and confidence in learning new packages and systems

• Knowledge and understanding of core academic and administrative functions in higher education

Please Note: This role is not suitable for current students but we encourage applications from recent graduates.

Location
The role will be offered as a hybrid model, where the individual can work from home with regular onsite work at the Tooting Campus, London.
