Role

Join a focus group to review the concept and structure of the Employability Skills Hub. This new initiative is designed to help students learn, develop and practice essential workplace skills. Hosted online; each section will focus on specific skills, and include written materials, interactive activities and additional resources for students to explore further.

Start Date: 20/04/2026

End Date: 19/06/2026

Working Hours: 1.5 hours by 29 April; 2.5 hours on 6 May 1.30-4.00pm; 11.0 hours by 19 June. To be arranged with the Hiring Manager

Pay Rate: £ 12.96 per hour

Holiday Pay Rate: £1.56 per hour

Location: Careers and Employability Service, Portland Building, University Park and remote working

Dress Code: Smart Casual 

Duties and responsibilities

• Review what we have so far and provide feedback to refine the concept and structure of the Employability Skills Hub

• Take part in a face-to-face focus group with other students on Wednesday 6 May 1.30pm - 4.00pm

• There is some work to do on your own and at your own pace both before and after the focus group

Skills and experience

• You should be a current University of Nottingham undergraduate or postgraduate taught student

• You need to be willing to engage in a group conversation (no more than 6 students and 3 members of staff) 

• You can listen and follow instructions for a range of activities

• No previous focus group experience required
