Description
Role
In this role the analyst will assist in the maintenance and development of the Power BI platforms and supporting ad hoc analysis.
Duties and responsibilities
- Maintain business intelligence reports to ensure data remains timely and accurate.
- Assist in the development of value adding dashboards.
- Support in depth analysis of key metrics.
- Attend appropriate meetings and engagement with team members,
- Stakeholder management & understanding requirements,
- Prepare and maintain comprehensive technical documentation
- Any other duty related to the role which may be reasonably required.
Skills and experience
- Good knowledge of Microsoft software such as Excel, Word & Outlook.
- Understanding of Microsoft Power BI desktop and service.
- Experience of manipulating or interrogating data.
- Knowledge of Data Protection and the Freedom of Information Act.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Good team player and enthusiasm to learn.
Desirables
- Knowledge of data warehousing systems and techniques, including SQL & SSIS.
- Experience of advanced coding languages such as Python or R.
- Understanding of the HE sector and key metrics.
