Description
Role
The University of Surrey are looking for a Research Assistant to support a project on Indian content creators who produce videos about studying and working abroad.
The role involves reviewing the accuracy of video transcripts and interview transcripts.
£17.13 per hour.
£2.07 per hour holiday pay.
This work can be completed remotely and is a total of 30 hours.
Work can be completed part time (10-20 hours/week) or full time (7.5 hours over 4 days) depending on your availability.
Duties and responsibilities
There are 25 Hindi YouTube videos that have been transcribed and translated into English.
You will listen to the original Hindi audio, check the accuracy of the English translation and make corrections where needed.
Check interview transcript accuracy:
There are 1-2 interviews that have been transcribed using AI and contain errors. You will review the original recordings and correct the transcripts.
Skills and experience
Excellent proficiency in English and good spoken Hindi.
Ability to work remotely.
Previous experience transcribing or editing transcripts is an advantage but not essential.
