Prime Transport Planning is a leading independent transport planning consultancy based in Liverpool.
They specialize in providing transport planning and consulting services, 
  • including development planning, 
  • transport assessments, 
  • travel plans, 
  • environmental impact assessments. 
The consultancy works closely with developers, architects, and local authorities to help 
  • secure highways planning permission and deliver innovative transport solutions.
 
Job Role Overview 
As a Graduate Transport Planner, you will support the delivery of high-quality transport planning advice to a wide range of clients across the public and private sectors. You will work within a team on a variety of exciting projects for nationally recognised residential/commercial developers, utility companies and energy providers contributing to transport assessments, travel plans, sustainable transport strategies, and infrastructure planning.
 
This role provides the opportunity to develop technical knowledge, project management skills, and professional consultancy experience in a dynamic and supportive environment.
 
 

Duties and responsibilities

  • Assist in the preparation of access appraisals, Transport Statements, Transport Assessments, Travel Plans and transport input to Environmental Statement Chapters to support planning applications.
  • Contribute to data analysis, including trip generation, traffic flows, and junction modelling.
  • Support the development of sustainable transport strategies and active travel schemes.
  • Undertake site visits, surveys, and data collection as part of project research and development.
  • Assist in liaising with clients, local authorities, and other stakeholders.
  • Prepare technical drawings and figures using specialist tools (e.g. AutoCAD, GIS, or similar)
  • Collaborate with colleagues in the team to deliver integrated planning solutions. 
  • Keep up to date with transport planning policy, guidance, and best practice.
  • Contribute to reports, presentations, and proposal writing 
  • Participate in internal CPD activities and external training to support career progression.
