Studio Ditto is a new independent Liverpool-based accessories brand specialising in sustainably handmade bags and jewellery. As a small team, Studio Ditto currently manages marketing activity in-house. While we have strong brand foundations, we lack the capacity to build scalable systems for growing visibility and traffic.

This internship will directly address that gap, helping Studio Ditto to grow by developing structured workflows and automations, repeatable content templates and SEO systems. The role is not focused on short-term follower growth or one-off campaigns. But rather the creation of systems and a framework to increase traffic on our website and social media platforms, with a clear goal to drive online sales.

Following an initial meeting, the intern would primarily work remotely. We would hold weekly check-ins, either in person or viaZoom, to review the work completed that week, discuss performance and analytics, and agree on next steps

Duties and responsibilities

Skills and experience
Essential Skills & Attributes

  • Strong organisational and analytical skills– able to manage tasks, track results and document clear, repeatable workflows. An organised and methodical approach is essential.
  • Basic understanding of SEO, keyword research, or content marketing — particularly how content drives website traffic and visibility, understanding the customer journey.
  • Systems thinker — comfortable creating templates, checklists and simple frameworks rather than one-off posts.*Strong written communication — able to write clearly for blog content and internal documentation, whilst understanding the brands tone and voice.
  • Self-motivated and proactive — comfortable working independently, open to feedback, and confident in contributing ideas and suggestions as part of a collaborative process.
  • Familiarity with Pinterest and Instagram for business, blogs and Shopify.
Desirable Skills & Experience
  • An interest in sustainability, art & design, and purpose-led creative businesses, with an understanding that values, ethics and storytelling are central communication.
  • An understanding of more niche markets in handmade, circular design and slow fashion.
  • Creative approach to small independent brands and how they build visibility with limited budgets.
  • Experience using tools such as Canva, Google Analytics, content scheduling platforms.
The role would be particularly suitable for students studying:
  • Marketing & Digital Marketing
  • Media or Communications
  • Creative or Design-related degrees with a digital focus
This placement offers the chance to develop practical, real-world marketing skills within a small start-up where systems are
still being built. Rather than stepping into an established team with fixed procedures, the intern will gain experience creating workflows, testing ideas, analysing results and understanding how marketing directly affects visibility and sales. This provides a strong foundation in creative problem-solving, along with tangible portfolio work that demonstrates real impact.

There may be potential for a small number of ongoing paid hours if the internʼs work shows clear return and contributes to measurable growth, but this can not be guaranteed. If strong progress is made and the intern develops a good understanding
of the niche handmade and sustainable market, we are part of a wider network of independent makers and artists who often look for similar marketing support.
