he ability to extract work from tidal forces has been explored many times over the last 150 years. Success has centred aroundoscillations on the ocean surface in the form of waves and working with currents as tides encroach and recede in tidal channels where the flow of water itself drives power generation. The same is true of dam projects that create an artificial headof water to be released once a significant difference in relative water heights is achieved.

Offshore installations – Wind Farm Turbine / Tidal Energy Designs
Experience
Demonstrator Rigs – Tidal Energy GUNT ET270
Specific Engineering Design Software Solidworks / Ansys / CAD
Simulation and optimisation of engineering processes
Academic Courses
Mechanical Engineering / Marine & Mech Eng / Mechatronics & Autonomous Systems etc
Skills
Mechanical & Thermodynamics Design Scoping / Sizing Calculations
Use of Software – Engineering Design CAD / Modelling CFD
Knowledge of MS Office tools
