The primary purpose of this role is to provide essential research and data analysis support to a high-priority, ongoing strategic project within the research department. This project aims to investigate and understand workforce dynamics, specifically focusing on factors influencing entry, retention, and career progression within the Nuclear Sector. The role is critical in transforming raw data and qualitative insights into actionable knowledge that will help inform future policy and strategic planning.
Duties and responsibilities
Key responsibilities will include:
- Survey Development and Analysis: Producing, developing, and analysing data derived from surveys. This includes refining question sets, ensuring data integrity, and conducting advanced statistical analysis.
- Key Report Analysis: Systematically reviewing and analysing a variety of internal and external reports focused on work force trends, recruitment pipelines, educational pathways, and Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI) metrics within the Nuclear Sector.
- Data Interpretation and Reporting: Analysing and summarising key points and findings from various data sources. This will include coordinating and unifying both quantitative and qualitative data.
- Communication: Preparing clear, concise reports, visualisations and presentations for a range of audiences, highlighting key trends, anomalies, and strategic recommendations.
Skills and experience
Skills & Experience:
- Familiarity with Microsoft Excel: Basic to intermediate knowledge of Excel functionalities.
- Demonstrated ability to organise information and maintain attention to detail.
- Aptitude for understanding data and how it can be structured.
- Good verbal and written communication skills (especially with the remote working environment), with a willingness to ask questions and learn.
- Eagerness to learn new software skills and explore research theories/ideas both independently and collaboratively.
