This internship sits within Goodshipʼs marketing, communications, and growth activity. The role is designed to support how Goodship builds awareness, engages audiences, and tells its story across digital channels.
The intern will play an active role in shaping and sharing content on LinkedIn and Instagram, supporting direct outreach and audience engagement, and helping communicate Goodshipʼs work, values, and thinking in a clear, engaging way. The role also includes creating on-brand visual content and supporting simple video-based storytelling.
This is a hands-on role where the intern will work closely with the core team, contributing ideas as well as delivering content. There is potential for the role to develop into a future position as the business grows.
Duties and responsibilities
Main duties
- Support the planning and delivery of marketing communications activity across LinkedIn and Instagram.
- Create on-brand visual content using Canva, following Goodshipʼs brand guidelines.
- Assist with writing social media posts, captions, and short-form marketing content.
- Support audience engagement and direct outreach activity on LinkedIn.
- Help capture and share stories from projects, partnerships, and internal work.
- Support content creation for a series of vox pop-style interviews, including basic video editing where appropriate.
- Monitor engagement and contribute ideas to improve reach and interaction.

Skills and experience
This role is suitable for a Level 6 undergraduate student interested in marketing, communications, and storytelling within a purpose-driven organisation.
