Unitemps External Recruitment Team collaborate with local businesses within the Leicestershire area; we work on a wide range of roles. 

THE ROLE 

On behalf of our Leicester Client, we are seeking to recruit a Music Events Assistant to support on Music Rehearsals and Performances / Events. We are looking for candidates that have a strong passion for music education, who are pro-active and self motivated; and able capable of supporting the smooth planning, delivery, and running of events.

We are looking for a candidate/s who can work the below dates and times in March initially for Rehearsals:

Saturday 7th March 2026        1x staff required          9:00am – 1:00pm

Saturday  14th March 2026    1x staff required         9:00am – 1:00pm

Saturday  21st March 2026      2x staff required         11:00am – 7:00pm

We are looking for a candidate/s who can work the below dates and times in March initially for Performances and Events:

Sat 21 March 2026 2 x staff required to work: 11am – 7pm

Wed 25 March 2026 (Daytime) 2x staff required to work: 9am – 5pm

Wed 25 March 2026 (Evening)  2x staff required to work: 5pm – 9.30pm

You will be required to support on many more dates throughout April - June to support on further Rehearsals and Performances. Please state clearly in your cover letter your availability for the above dates and times for both Rehearsals and Performances. 

Rate of pay: £15.00

Holiday Pay: £1.81 

Duties and responsibilities

  • Register children on arrival
  • Set up rooms for rehearsals and performances
  • Carry out front-of-house duties
  • Assist the Event Manager with event coordination
  • Provide pastoral support to young musicians
  • Gather and represent youth voice feedback
  • Able to (if skilled) record and document rehearsals, e.g. through social media takeovers
  • Support the smooth running of events by taking initiative

Skills and experience

  • Background or strong passion for music education
  • Proactive, self-motivated approach with the ability to take initiative
  • Capable of supporting the smooth planning, delivery, and running of events
