Description
Role
In this role you will be getting involved with developing games and assets for commercial games projects.
Duties and responsibilities
- Video games development
- Attend appropriate meetings and engage with design exercises
- Stakeholder management
- Preparation of projects and reports
- Creating social media and comms marketing materials in line with the University’s guidelines
- Any other duty related to the role which may be reasonably required.
Skills and experience
Requirements:
- Strong understanding of environmental composition, scale and spatial design
- Good knowledge of the PBR asset creation pipeline
- Ability to use Blender (or demonstrable willingness to learn and adapt)
- Able to create optimised, game-ready environment assets
- Understanding of modular workflows and level building processes
- Knowledge of lighting fundamentals and material creation
- Excellent communication skills and able to explain potential issues.
Desirables:
- Knowledge of foliage creation and vegetation workflows
- Game engine import systems in Unreal Engine
- Basic knowledge of shaders and material instances.

Qualifications:

You must have passed Level 5 and be eligible to proceed to a placement year.

This role is only open to students on a placement year between L5 and L6 and you must be a home fees student.
