Role
Our client is a leading independent UK based manufacturer of adhesives and primers for the commercial flat roofing market, based in Stone, Staffordshire. Our full range of high performance adhesives and primers are supplied into the market under various private label agreements to world leading manufacturers and system suppliers. We are dedicated to delivering bespoke and exceptional service, tailored to the requirements of each customer.

 
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Purchasing Administrator to join our team and play a vital role in supporting the continued growth of our business. You will provide professional administrative support to the procurement team, acting as a friendly and efficient point of contact for customers and suppliers to ensure an exceptional service experience.

Duties and responsibilities

  • Raising purchase orders for goods – liaising with suppliers and colleagues.
  • Processing purchase orders, goods receipt, purchase invoices and related tasks.
  • Ensure all purchases have correct pricing.· Maintaining stocks.
  • Recording and analysing historic trends to support purchasing decision making and predicting future demand for goods.
  • Analysing stock usage.
  • Receiving goods in on to the system.
  • Assembling of goods on company system using raw materials.
  • Batching of goods.
  • Assisting with stock takes.
  • Following manufacturing processes.
  • Communicating with suppliers regarding outstanding orders and quotations.
  • Ordering stationery and refreshment supplies.
  • General office tasks.· Liaising with Company Managers.
  • Reporting to Office Manager.

Skills and experience
The successful applicant will:· 

 
  • Have excellent attention to detail and administration skills.
  • Be self-motivated, proactive and able to work under own initiative as well as in the team.
  • Be able to manage time and workload.
  • Work well under pressure and use effective time management to meet deadline.
  • Have a good knowledge of the Microsoft packages.
  • Have previous experience within manufacturing (Advantage)
  • Previous experience of using stock management system including Bills of Materials (Advantage but not essential)
  • Previous experience of using accounting software (Advantage but not essential)
  • Training will be given when required.
