Flint Town United Football Club is one of Wales’s oldest football clubs, founded in 1886, with deep community roots and a clear ambition to grow both on and off the pitch. The club competes in the Cymru Premier and actively engages supporters, local businesses, and partners to drive sporting and commercial success.
The Commercial & Marketing Department is central to this growth, focusing on sponsorship, brand development, fan engagement, match-day activations, and digital communications. The department ensures the club maximises commercial opportunities while strengthening its relationship with supporters and partners.
Duties and responsibilities
Purpose of the Role
- Create and schedule content across social media platforms and the club website.
- Assist with designing match-day promotional materials such as digital graphics, posters, and video content.
- Support campaigns that build the club’s brand and community engagement.
Commercial Support
- Assist with sponsor communications, reporting, and engagement initiatives.
- Help prepare presentations, proposals, and promotional materials for potential commercial partners.
Analysis & Reporting
- Monitor and report on digital engagement and marketing campaign performance.
- Conduct market and competitor research to support commercial strategy.
Event & Match-Day Support
- Support marketing and commercial activities on match days, including fan engagement and sponsor activation.
- Assist with event logistics and promotional activities.
Administrative Support
- Provide general administrative support to the Commercial & Marketing Department.
- Assist with maintaining databases, schedules, and records relevant to marketing and commercial operations.
Skills and experience
- Passionate about sports, marketing, and commercial operations.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Well-organised, proactive, and able to manage multiple tasks.
- Creative mindset with knowledge of social media and digital marketing tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, video editing software).
- Experience in event support or sponsor engagement is a plus.
