Description

Role

This role involves joining the GPNET-0 Study team at Warwick Medical School to support research on decarbonisation in general practice and contribute to the NHS Net Zero agenda. 

You will work as part of a research team led by Dr Raquel Nunes and Professor Jeremy Dale.

Duties and responsibilities

• Conduct database searches, screen literature, and extract and manage research data.

• Maintain study databases, documentation, and support quality assurance processes.

• Contribute to project coordination and administrative support.

• Prepare written outputs, including literature reviews, policy briefs, and briefing documents.

• Support dissemination of research findings and stakeholder engagement.

• Work independently and collaboratively, applying critical and creative approaches to research tasks.

Skills and experience

• Academic background in social science, sociology, sustainability, or related disciplines.

• Knowledge and experience in healthcare, ideally sustainability in primary care.

• A strong interest in applied, policy-relevant research and sustainable healthcare.

• Strong skills in undertaking literature reviews and contributing to systematic reviews by identifying and synthesising relevant academic literature.

• Ability to collaborate on sustainability initiatives and integrate business, policy, and social science perspectives.

• Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and excellent written and verbal communication.

• Experience producing research communications (e.g., newsletters, policy briefs, briefing materials, visual outputs) and simplifying technical information for diverse audiences is desirable.

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively, demonstrating critical, creative, and focused research approaches.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and referencing software.

Combination of Warwick Medical School campus and working from home.
