Description

Role

Providing strategic support and executive-level briefings to Interim Head of Department MCI & SR, as well as short- and mid-term planning to ensure the HoD’s time on critical institutional projects and strategic objectives is optimised.

Duties and responsibilities

Providing detailed executive-level briefings to Head of Department (interim) – MCI & SR – ahead of meetings and stakeholder engagements

Horizon-scanning: short- and mid-term planning to ensure the HoD is fully prepared for exec-level engagements

Preparing board-level presentations and papers for the HoD, as well as reviewing and making recommendations to HoD on papers for HoD’s approval.

Planning HoD’s schedule to maximise HoD’s time on critical institutional projects and strategic objectives

Skills and experience

The jobseeker will need to demonstrate strong experience of working with and directly for board-level executives in large complex organisations. They should have a good grasp of key operational dependencies and an ability to handle both sensitive/confidential information and complex working relationships to maintain momentum in critical projects.
