Description
Role
University of Salford is looking for a Research Assistant to work under the supervision to support the delivery of of short term participatory research project funded through internal pump priming funds. The role is for 100 hours grade 6 research assistant to support data collection and analysis. Expected end date 2026-07-31.
Duties and responsibilities
- Collating questionnaires and survey data from online survey platforms and understanding and building Excel spreadsheets and implementing descriptive and limited inferential data analysis.
- Supporting hiring manager with qualitative data management and transcriptions and aspect of thematic analysis under the supervision of the hiring manager.
- Develop visualization of data of graphs and data for report purposes.
- Teaching activities delivered, qualitative and quantitative research, to support with collating thing from questionnaires, pulling things from data, transcribing from transcripts (thematic analysis), creating visuals from data.
- Evaluating teaching around relational care, ultimate impact.
Skills and experience
- Tidying up transcript from recordings.
- Experience in qualitative and quantitative data analysis and research.
- Confident in translating transcripts to visuals.
- Confident in understanding thematic analysis.
