Description

Role
Currently looking for students from year 2 onwards and from any school and course, who are willing to provide feedback and share their own experiences on 18th February to talk to City St George’s lecturers and tutors about what works or what helps in terms of tutoring and student support? I am a senior lecturer in LEaD, and I am running a module as part of our teaching qualification for academic staff. These could be lecturers, tutors, and others supporting learning who are fairly new to higher education. The module is called Supporting Your Students.

Duties and responsibilities
Topics can cover a diverse range of issues related to student support, from a general approach to academic support, including feedback, to the support of specific needs or something specific, like helping you navigate your journey into or through university. You can choose what you would like to share when providing feedback, and you will not be asked to share anything you don’t want to.

Before the event, we’ll meet with you on Teams to go over the day’s format. You’ll also receive guidance and training on giving constructive, developmental feedback.

Skills and experience
Particularly looking for students who:

1. are neurodiverse and have been through placements as part of their course
2. are mature students
3. are now in their final year of study

Location
City St George's, University of London, Clerkenwell Campus
