Duties and responsibilities

  • Developing a thorough understanding of all degree courses offered at Tooting campus City St George’s.
  • Supporting the Student Recruitment Assistant in managing enquiries about City St George’s including answering phone enquiries and responding to email enquiries.
  • Supporting the delivery of a wide range of student recruitment events, including student recruitment exhibitions, widening participation activities, higher education fairs at school and college partners, student recruitment events onsite and online delivery such as webinars.
  • Delivering a wide range of presentations in partner schools and colleges. 

This role will involve extensive travel in the greater London area. You can expect to be attending 2-3 off site events per week. The role is also likely to include overnight stays to attend student recruitment exhibitions that are further afield. There may also be occasional weekend working (Saturdays only) for which you will accrue TOIL.

Skills and experience

  • Confident and engaging public speaker, with prior experience of delivering presentations to external audience.
  • Experience of working with young people, ideally with young people aged 16-18 or submitting UCAS applications.
  • Customer focused with strong interpersonal skills.
  • The ability to work autonomously and to manage time effectively.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy when answering telephone and email enquiries.
  • Interest in and willing to learn more about medicine, science and healthcare related courses.
  • Willingness and ability to work evenings and occasional weekends (Saturdays only).

Location
This is a hybrid role. The role will be based at Tooting campus, City St George's, with some days working from home. This role will also require extensive travel.

Interviews will take place in person at Tooting on Wednesday 28th January.
