Role
The role holder will support the co-ordination of information for students to support and enhance their experience through central student communications at City St George's.
Duties and responsibilities
- Contributing to the planning, writing and editing of the fortnightly all-student newsletter
Skills and experience
Essential:
- An understanding and experience of internal communications tools and channels including intranets, mailing software, articles and social media
- Experience writing and copyediting content
- Experience of and the ability to analyse and disseminate complex information efficiently and in an accessible and engaging way
- Strong interpersonal skills in order to actively engage with both students and staff
- Ability to prioritise a varied workload independently and escalate challenges as required
- Good IT skills
- Discretion and sensitivity to wider contexts
Desirable:
- Experience working in a professional communications environment
- Experience of being part of a Higher Education environment or similar context and the broader student experience
- Social media content creation and video editing skills
