Description
Role
The Law School requires a creative individual, or individuals, to support our Digital Communications Officer in creating engaging and informative content for our social media platforms.
IT skills, experience of using social media and a good grasp of spelling and grammar is essential.
Duties and responsibilities
Duties and responsibilities will include (but are not limited to):
• Writing copy for Law School social channels (Twitter/X, Instagram, Facebook and LinkedIn)
• Sourcing of relevant content and assets
• Posting/scheduling of relevant content across all platforms in line with University regulations
• Timely and appropriate response to any messages or comments received
• Monitoring of mentions across platforms and sharing where appropriate
• Update of Linktree account
• Design and production of required graphics/images/videos (using Canva, Photoshop etc.)
• Attending various events to generate video content for sharing
• Help generate any takeovers/questions & answers sessions if the opportunity should arise
• Additional administrative support for the Law School marketing and communications team where required (e.g. proof-reading, organisation of online files, social media analysis)
Skills and experience
• Knowledge and experience of working with various IT applications and social media
• Good creative skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to adapt copy for different audiences on social media platforms
• Ability to work with minimal supervision and manage own workload
• Excellent attention to detail, spelling, grammar and proof-reading skills
• Awareness of University tone of voice guidelines is desirable but not essential
Location
Option to work entirely remotely though option to be campus based (S0.02) one day a week, if preferable is possible
