Description

Role

As Student Voice Coordinator role you will collaborate with your Faculty’s Education and Student Experience (ESE) team, the University’s Internal Communications, the Director of Education and Student Experience (Standards) and the Student Engagement Officer to contribute to the design and delivery of the promotion of the National Student Survey (NSS) and Nottingham Learning Experience Survey (NLES). Following the surveys, you will play an active role in disseminating the Changes Inspired By You actions taken in response to student feedback.

 

Start Date: 26/01/2026

End Date: 01/06/2026

Working Hours: 20-30 hours per worker, to be arranged with the line manager

Pay Rate: £12.77 per hour

Holiday Pay Rate: £1.54 per hour

Location: UoN, University Park Campus & Remote

Dress Code: Smart Casual 

Duties and responsibilities

  • Co-create and deliver Faculty-level communication campaigns to promote NLES and NSS.
  • Develop creative, student-led content (e.g. social media posts, videos, posters, or testimonials) to encourage participation.
  • Engage peers through events, stalls, and classroom drop-ins to raise awareness on the surveys.
  • Attend and contribute to semi-regular meetings in your Faculty where necessary regarding updates on student voice and engagement with the surveys.
  • Work with staff to understand and communicate results from surveys to Faculty student body.
  • Collect and share student perspectives on how they see institutional changes communicated to your faculty.
  • Contribute to evaluation activities, such as short reflections, surveys, or focus groups.
  • Reflect on your personal development and learning throughout the project.
  • Occasional duties may include providing input and assistance on other student engagement projects.

Skills and experience

  • Current student at the University of Nottingham (not finalist)
  • Interest in student engagement, communication, or partnership working
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Reliable, organised, and able to manage workload flexibly
  • Creative approach to problem-solving and content creation
  • Experience in social media, student societies, or peer-led activities (Not essential, but desirable)
  • Confident and approachable manner.
  • Good IT skills, with a willingness to learn new software/applications as necessary for a project.
  • Experience of working in groups comprised of a variety of people from different backgrounds (desirable, but not essential).
