Do you care about student voice and want to help shape the future of the University of Nottingham? We’re looking for a team of motivated Student Strategic Change Associates to work at the heart of student experience and representation.
In this paid, flexible role, you’ll work as part of a small team to collaborate with students, Students’ Union staff, and University teams to support co-creation projects focused on student support, digital learning (including Moodle), and student voice. You’ll help design resources, facilitate workshops and panels, attend meetings with students and staff and ensure student perspectives meaningfully inform strategic change across the University.
This role is ideal for a current UoN student who is organised, confident communicating with diverse groups, and passionate about student engagement. You’ll gain hands-on experience in facilitation, partnership working, and strategic development - while making a real difference to the student community.

Pay Rate: £12.21 + 12.07%

Duties and responsibilities
Partnering with teams across the University, the Students’ Union, and academic departments to work on co-creation projects to support the following priorities: Student Support
- Moodle – belonging and mattering in a virtual learning environment
- Student Voice
- Co-developing resources and materials around a range of topics with a focus on student experience for staff and students with staff partners.
- Approaching and communicating with the student body to tap into the issues that concern them regarding student voice and their experience as University of Nottingham students.
- Support in the facilitation of student workshops and panels to gather student feedback on their experiences, ensuring discussions are inclusive, productive, and reflective of the diversity of the student body.
- Maintain a friendly, non-judgmental and approachable attitude.
Miscellaneous:
- Carry out the duties in accordance with the policies of the Students’ Union which may from time to time be determined.
- Take the initiative on your own self-development in order to update and develop your skills and abilities.
- Comply with Health and Safety in line with current Students’ Union policies and procedures.
- Be responsible for observing and implementing good environmental practice in line with Union/Company policies.
- Comply with brand and tone of voice guidelines when producing any materials or documentation on behalf of UoNSU.
- Attend meetings, training, conferences and seminars as required in relation to the operation of the department, your role and the Students’ Union as a whole.
- Perform such other duties as may be necessary within the scope of the job to meet the needs of the department and Students’ Union as directed from time to time by the line manager.

Other tasks will need to be undertaken in order to discharge the responsibilities of the post. Any permanent changes will be incorporated into the job description by agreement. Skills and experience
- Strong organisational skills, with attention to detail
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Confidence in facilitating group discussions and managing diverse opinions whilst maintaining a friendly, non-judgmental and approachable attitude.
- Ability to work collaboratively with peers, staff, and university stakeholders.
- Interest in student voice, student engagement, or higher education.
- Ability to work collaboratively with a range of stakeholders of varying levels of seniority, including students, Students Union staff and University staff members
