Role
Within Animal Health, Behaviour and Welfare Department.

 
To be a welcoming ambassador for the University as the first meet and greet interaction, to partake in social activities with the students and to help them with any questions they have or direct towards the relevant staff.
 

Duties and responsibilities
Sunday 19th July meet and greet the coach on arrival usually around 6pm, hand over the keys (to be collected the Friday before) and show them to their rooms. 

 

Monday 20th July - meet them after breakfast, and take them to the teaching room. Also take details for any HAU branded clothing they are purchasing and sort out this purchasing. 

 

 Monday 20th July - meet them after dinner and show them the campus and surrounding area (walking), possibly go into Newport with them 

 

Thursday 23rd July - use campus facilities to play sports – rounders, football (soccer!) which the person needs to organise and join in with and / or watch a film on the projector. 

 

Tuesday 28th July - take them for a walk around Edgmond, usually drop into pub 

 

Wednesday 29th July - Use campus facilities to play sports – rounders, football and / or watch a film on the projector 

 

Friday 31st July - Join for a farewell BBQ 5 - 7pm roughly (can confirm nearer time)

Skills and experience
Trained Ambassador and DBS checked.
