Role

Our client is searching for a Warehouse Operative to join their high performing team, this is the first vacancy in this team for three years! They are looking for someone who can support the accurate placement of stock delivered from Head Office by ensuring items are put into the correct bin locations and in the correct quantities. Organise and process customer picking lists by box size, ensuring all orders are picked accurately and efficiently. 

To also maintain a steady flow of work on the conveyor for the Dispatcher and ensure orders are completed within required timeframes. When customer picking is up to date, assist the Dispatcher with outgoing work, or begin preparing additional orders as necessary.

Duties and responsibilities

• Ensure sales orders are picked and dispatched accurately and on time.

• Make sure stock is stored in the correct scanned location when processing HQ deliveries.
• Ship all printed picking lists the same day.
• Support dispatch when required to ensure all orders are completed.
• Inspect picked orders during paper picking to confirm correct products and quantities.
• Work with the Logistics & Assembly Manager and Senior Warehouse Operative/Coordinator to resolve issues and maintain workflow.
• Report stock discrepancies using QMS procedures.
• Handle returns and faulty items correctly by placing them in quarantine with the required paperwork.
• Follow all Health & Safety procedures, using equipment, tools, and PPE appropriately.
• Maintain a clean and tidy work area and ensure manual handling equipment is looked after.

Skills and experience

  • Previous experience working in a Warehouse Environment. 
  • Knowledgeable in aspect of Warehouse procedures. 
  • Previous experience with SAP. 
  • Previous Forklift Training and Manual Handling experience (Training provided).
