Role

 
You’ll help deliver our Investment Readiness Accelerator – a fast-track programme that takes growth-minded Tamworth SMEs through understanding their customer needs, financial strengthening and pitch development via hands-on workshops and one-to-one coaching. Working alongside our core team, you’ll liaise directly with participants, coordinate session logistics and monitor their progress to keep each cohort on track. You’ll also play a key role in planning and running the live Investor Event in March, where we’ll bring together angel investors, private investors and representatives for government backed schemes, so our businesses can pitch to them - managing rehearsals, schedules and on-the-day details to ensure a polished, professional showcase.

Duties and responsibilities

  • Assist Programme Lead in running the accelerator programme: manage agendas, participant communications and logistics.
  • Support delivery of social media and marketing activities to promote the Investor Event to on target audiences.
  • Maintain a spreadsheet of all relevant business contacts and notes.
  • Support the co-ordination of investor event: reaching out to local investors and regional programmes to secure attendance on the day.
  • Prepare presentation materials for workshops, handouts, sign‑in sheets and feedback forms

Skills and experience

 
Must Haves
 
  • Self starter, organised and comfortable liaising across stakeholders.
  • Strong communicator, adaptable and able to thrive in dynamic settings.
  • Based in Tamworth with the ability to travel within the town.

Desired

  • Eagerness to develop skills in project management, consulting, innovation, investment analysis and facilitation.
  • Relevant experience in event planning and communication

Location
This role is supported by the Tamworth Sponsorship Fund. Applicants must be eligible under the Fund’s criteria, which includes living in Tamworth.

This is a 4/5 week role 10/12 hours a week. Ideal for students studying in Business, Events Management or Social Media content creation.
