Role
We are looking for three UG students to support and enhance our project around embedding Student Belonging in to the Curriculum.
The role will consist of 8 hours in total and will be split into 3 parts.
- Fostering Student Voice: Empowering you to actively co-design and support in the delivery of a Faculty workshop on embedding Belonging into the curriculum. Also enhancing your leadership skills and promoting the student voice.
- Enhance Student Skills and Dissemination for Wider Change: Develop your skills in qualitative analysis through reviewing case studies and using this gained knowledge to co-create a shareable Belonging framework.
- Training: Training will be given to support you in your role.
Successful students must be available at the following dates and time in person on campus:
Wednesday 4th February 3pm – 5pm (all roles)
Wednesday 4th March 12pm – 1pm (all roles)
Wednesday 11th March – 1pm - 2pm (Arts Role)
Wednesday 18th March –1pm – 2pm (SEM role only)
Wednesday 29th April – 1pm – 2pm (Social Sciences role only)
Please note these roles are only open to current University of Warwick UG students.
Duties and responsibilities
- Attend an initial training session exploring what we mean by Belonging and critical analysis.
- The co-design of the workshop
- Share with us your own livid experiences of belonging within your own academic journey.
- Read and evaluate current case studies on Belonging and create summarises to help with the workshop design.
- Co-create the workshop presentation with us, including creating an activity to lead on.
- Co-facilitate the workshop
- Disseminating information to attend the workshop to peers.
- Facilitating table discussions & lead on the activity designed.
- Collecting notes from workshop attendees
- Co-design the curriculum design framework
- Summarise the insights from all three workshops and work with us to create the belonging in the curriculum framework.
