Role
The Data Quality Support will provide dedicated support to School-based and QUAD Quality Officers by ensuring the accuracy, consistency, and completeness of data held within the Curriculum Management System (CMS). The unitemps will assist with the transition of curriculum amendments, respond to enquiries, and undertake support duties to uphold institutional quality standards. This role is essential in safeguarding data integrity and supporting the effective operation of curriculum and quality processes.
Duties and responsibilities
Data Quality and CMS support
- Ensure the accurate transition of proposed and completed curriculum amendments into the CMS.
- Process new amendments within the CMS in accordance with institutional procedures and schedules.
- Provide support to Academic and Professional Services staff regarding CMS processes.
- Respond to queries received via email and Microsoft Teams promptly and professionally, directing them to the appropriate School or QUAD staff as needed.
- Assist in the updating of reports by collating, verifying, and presenting accurate data as requested.
Quality Support
- Maintain and update the designated CMS Hub SharePoint to ensure information is current and accessible.
- Support committee servicing activities (PARC, SPARC & CPAC) as required, including document preparation, minute-taking, and action monitoring.
- Contribute to Stage 2 CMS BAU and stakeholder onboarding work under the direction of QUAD Officers, including data audits and workflow support.
- Undertake general support duties associated with Quality operations as directed.
Compliance and Data Governance
- Demonstrate awareness of GDPR and data protection requirements.
- Adhere to institutional policies and procedures related to data integrity, security, and confidentiality.
- Ensure all data-handling activities are performed accurately and in full compliance with applicable standards and regulations.
Skills and experience
Knowledge and Experience
- GCSE or equivalent experience
- Working knowledge of Curriculum Management Systems or equivalent.
- Basic understanding of quality assurance principles within the Higher Education sector.
- Proficiency in spreadsheets, word processing tools, and standard office software packages.
Skills and Competencies
- Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to work with precision and accuracy.
- Strong organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritise effectively.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to provide high-quality customer service to stakeholders.
- Ability to identify issues and apply sound problem-solving approaches.
- Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and to tight deadlines.
