Role

Working within our Applicant Engagement team, you will be a key point of contact for prospective students, handling enquiries and supporting our conversion and engagement activities.

The successful candidate will provide a high-quality, tailored service across our digital engagement platforms. You will ensure that all enquiries from prospective applicants are handled with care and processed within our ambitious service targets. This role also involves proactive outbound contact to support the University’s recruitment strategy for both Home and International markets.

Duties and responsibilities

  • Deliver a high-quality, personalised experience across all customer engagement platforms to ensure prospective student enquiries are resolved efficiently.
  • Review applications and make formal offers for Undergraduate (UG), Taught Postgraduate (PGT), and Research (PGR) courses for Home applicants, working within agreed academic parameters.
  • Ensure all applications and offers are processed in strict accordance with compliance frameworks and policies, including UCAS, DfE, UKVI, and UKCISA.
  • Undertake outbound contact activity across our range of customer engagement platforms in line with the University’s conversion strategy for Home and International customers.

Skills and experience

To be successful in this role you will need to demonstrate

  • Customer Excellence: Proven experience providing high-quality customer service, ideally in a fast-paced environment.
  • Technical Literacy: Experience using bespoke computer systems or CRM (Customer Relationship Management) databases.
  • Sector Knowledge: (Desirable) Familiarity with Higher Education admissions processes, including UCAS and Department for Education (DfE) guidelines.
  • Communication: (Desirable) Experience providing clear information, advice, and guidance to a diverse range of customers.
