This is a paid internship opportunity with ORAPI MAINTENANCE UK LIMITED, as part of the WMG Internship Programme. This internship will contribute to applying recent Artificial Intelligence technologies (commercial & open-source models) to enhance business processes and train the business team to adopt AI technologies.  

The internship is based at a company site in Wednesbury, and you will be working closely with the Orapi team (hybrid options can be considered) gaining first-hand experience. As part of the Programme, you will also benefit from weekly supervision and support by WMG experts throughout the duration of the project.

This internship will benefit/improve your skills in:

  • Applying Artificial Intelligence Workflows in manufacturing/business environment
  • Knowledge transfer activities
  • Understanding and mapping high-level business processes
  • Ability to work with key stakeholders, Directors and operators

Duties and responsibilities

You will lead this project, which will focus on adopting and applying Artificial Intelligence technologies in the company based on business requirements. Main activities will include:

  • Review current IT setup and business processes, including systems such as Excel, Klaviyo, Zoho CRM, and storage.
  • Identify key workflows where AI can deliver measurable improvements.
  • Prepare an AI Opportunity Assessment Report.
  • Deliver training sessions on AI tools and best practices.
  • Develop training materials, guides, and templates tailored to existing tools.
  • Create an internal AI Playbook for ongoing adoption.
  • Support pilot implementation of AI-driven workflows and document outcomes.
  • Collect feedback and refine resources based on user experience.
  • Present final results and roadmap for long-term AI adoption.

Skills and experience

ESSENTIAL:

  • Student or graduate in Engineering/Business Management or a similar field, or equivalent
  • Hands experience in workflow automation tools like N8N, Power Automate or others.
  • Basic knowledge about commercial/open-source AI models (GPT OSS, Llama) and its use cases in business
  • Demonstrable Interest in business process (e.g Sales, marketing, etc)
  • Able to effectively communicate with staff at all levels
  • Ability to learn effectively without constant supervision or direct instruction

DESIRABLE

  • Experience in creating & deploying AI agentic workflows using N8N, Power Automate or other
  • Experience in working with PostgreSQL databases, SQL queries, and RAG setup (Retrieval Augmentation Setup)
  • Experience of working in manufacturing/business environments
  • Basic understanding of UK GDPR for using AI in business
