Role
Student Support Services are currently looking for a Student Safeguarding Administrator to join their team.
Duties and responsibilities
· To work with the Student Safeguarding Manager, providing administrative support with the safeguarding inbox, student communication and student case management.
· To provide support to the Student Safeguarding Manager and Head of Student Support Services in managing and triaging the Report and Support, student reporting platform.
· To provide administrative support to the Designated Safeguarding Officer Working Group.
· To support the Student Safeguarding Manager in updating and maintaining Safeguarding MS Teams sites, web content, internal facing web pages and all other student platforms.
· To provide support to the Student Safeguarding Manager and Head of Student Support Services with the production of reports and management information across the Safeguarding and Prevent.
· To be responsible for monitoring and collating student safeguarding data.
· To be responsible for collecting safeguarding and Prevent training and development data for key members of City staff as well as the City staff network.
Skills and experience
- Experience working in a safeguarding/healthcare environment
- Experience of processing and securely sharing and storing confidential
- IT systems knowledge; specific competence in the use of Microsoft Office packages, a minimum of intermediate level skills in Excel, Word
- Educated to A-level, or an equivalent level of work experience
- Experience of working in a varied and fast paced environment
- Experience of working on own initiative with minimum supervision, but also to work cooperatively collaboratively and supportively within a team.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including high quality
- Excellent organisational skills including the ability to plan, prioritise and manage varied and fast paced flows of work
- A high level of accuracy and meticulous attention to detail
- Ability to distinguish between conflicting demands; scheduling and planning work in order to meet priorities and deadlines
- Clear, considerate, and responsive when working with colleagues. Including communication on time frames and requirements for reporting and follow ups
- Strong skills in diary management, minute taking
