Role
*Ringfenced to current LJMU students studying on active Masters or PhD/Doctorate Programme in the School of Public and Allied Health and the School of Sports and Exercise Science*
Teaching quality is a key strategic priority in the University and it is important that Schools respond to and implement the Framework for High Quality Teaching and Learning. Within this enhancing the student perception of ‘Teaching on my course’ is a key area of focus.
Within this domain, the items of engaging teaching and teaching that is intellectually stimulating are important features. Although we can speculate what these items are referring to, look like and identify ways to enhance them, we do not know from a student perspective. In addition, there is a danger in developing definitions and enhancement activity that we adopt a ‘one-size fits all’ approach.
Therefore, the aim of the project is to understand student perceptions of ‘teaching on my course’ in different subjects across two Schools (SPS/PAH) and within different partner institutions.
