Role
As a Lab Tech/Protein Scientist you will be a critical part of our technical bioprocessing team, helping to produce alternative milk proteins. You’ll support both upstream (cloning, strain selection) fermentation and downstream (protein extraction and purification) in a fast-paced, innovation-driven lab environment.

Skills and experience
Your background: ·
- BSc in Biotechnology, Microbiology, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry
- PhD in Synthetic Biology, Molecular Biology, Biotechnology (advantageous)
- 1 year of applied research experience in precision fermentation, synthetic biology, or bioproduction.
- Microbial culturing, media preparation, and aseptic technique.
- Creating genetically engineered strains (PCR, Cloning, Transformations)
- Experience working in precision fermentation and protein production.
- Familiarity with bench-scale bioreactor systems (e.g shake flasks and bioreactors) and fermentation monitoring. ·
- Experienced in protein purification (centrifugation, filtration, chromatography)
- Analytical assays (e.g., SDS-PAGE, Western blots, Bradford/BCA, ELISA) to characterise protein yield and purity.
