Researching about local school sports partnerships in the North West in or to find areas of interest for our competition and events services. 

Duties and responsibilities

Key Skills Required:

  1. Research and Analytical Skills Ability to gather, interpret, and present data from a range of sources — including surveys, competitor analysis, demographic data, and customer feedback. Students should be comfortable using basic research methods and summarising findings clearly. 
  2. Communication and Interviewing Skills Confidence in conducting interviews, focus groups, or informal conversations with parents, participants, coaches, and community partners to develop an understanding of customer needs and preferences. 
  3. Organisation and Project Management Capability to plan research tasks, manage timelines, organise information, and present findings in structured reports that can help inform business decisions.

Additional desirable skills: understanding of digital marketing trends, basic knowledge of safeguarding and sports sector contexts, data visualisation (e.g., Excel, Google Sheets), teamwork, initiative, and curiosity about how sports businesses grow.

Skills and experience

The ideal candidates will have:

  • An understanding of PESSPA (PE, School Sport & Physical Activity)
  • An ability to work in a professional environment
  • A basic understanding of sports business
  • The ability to conduct market research  
  • Good interpersonal skills and be comfortable working in a professional environment
