PIXIE is a bold new digital nation for the LGBTQ+ community. A safe, expressive platform created by queer and neurodivergent founders to empower inclusive communities. We’re launching our closed beta soon, and we’re looking for a passionate intern to help us build buzz, grow our audience, and shape our voice.

Duties and responsibilities
Role Overview

As our Social Media & Marketing Manager Intern, you’ll help craft and execute PIXIE’s online presence across Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, and beyond. 
 

You’ll work closely with the founding team to:

  • Develop and schedule engaging content (posts, reels, stories, threads). 
  • Support our beta launch campaign and community outreach. 
  • Create graphics, captions, and copy that reflect PIXIE’s tone: bold, inclusive, playful, and safe.
  • Monitor engagement and suggest creative ways to grow our reach.
  • Help shape our brand voice and visual identity.

Skills and experience
What We’re Looking For

  • Passion for LGBTQ+ inclusion, digital storytelling, and community building.
  • Strong writing skills and a flair for visual content.
  • Familiarity with Canva, Figma, or other design tools (bonus!).
  • Experience with TikTok, Instagram, and/or Threads.
  • Organised, proactive, and excited to co-create with a visionary team.

Location
Hybrid - Between Manchester and Liverpool
