Role
This role is funded and open to DMU 2025 Graduates that completed their undergraduate studies at DMU Leicester campus only. All other applicants need not apply.

 
The Internships Operations Associate will play a vital role in supporting the delivery of internship programs, ensuring smooth operations, and maintaining high-quality standards. This role involves working closely with the Internships Manager, Internships Officers and other stakeholders to coordinate administrative tasks, liaise with hiring managers and interns, and contribute to the success of the internship programmes.
 
The role is a hybrid role and the candidate will need to be in the office on campus for part of the week. The working hours are to be agreed with the selected candidate to a maximum of 111 hours between 06/1/2026 to 31/03/2026

Duties and responsibilities

  • Provide support for various internship programs, ensuring key deadlines and milestones are achieved.
  • Maintain effective communications with all stakeholders via various channels, including email, social media, telephone and face-to-face meetings.
  • Coordinate and send interview invitations for internship positions.
  • Follow up with applicants to confirm their attendance for scheduled interviews.
  • Assist the team with ad hoc tasks and responsibilities as needed.
  • Accurately maintain and update records of applicant responses.
  • Respond promptly to applicant inquiries via email and phone.
  • Serve as a point of contact for applicants and hiring managers, addressing queries and offering assistance.
  • Undertake training when required and identified as appropriate.
  • Comply with university policies to ensure the highest health and safety standard.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed administrative and management information records.
  • Support with any additional projects that the internships team are working on.

Skills and experience

  • Strong organisational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with a diverse range of stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, Outlook and Teams
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and maintaining high standards.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good customer service skills
  • Must be a DMU 2025 Graduate that completed their undergraduate studies at DMU Leicester campus.
