Description
Role
The Stores Team Member will be responsible for receiving daily deliveries between 08:00 and 12:00, ensuring the correct handling, logging, and movement of goods from the loading bay to three different kitchens and a central storage area. The role involves standard logistics duties including verifying invoices, organizing stock, and maintaining orderly storage areas.
Start Date - 1st December (break between 20th to 1st of Jan)
Duties and responsibilities
- Receive goods daily from 08:00–12:00 and check deliveries against invoices.
- Transport goods from the loading bay to three kitchens and central storage.
- Ensure goods are handled safely and stored correctly.
- Maintain accurate delivery and stock records.
- Keep storage and loading bay areas clean and organised.
- Support the Stock Controller with general logistics tasks.
Skills and experience
- Experience in a logistics, stores, or stock-handling environment is beneficial.
- Good organisational and time-management skills.
- Ability to handle manual handling tasks safely.
- Attention to detail when checking deliveries and documents.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Driving license required.
