Role

We are seeking an insight-driven and analytical individual to join our team as a Market Research and Insight Assistant on a maternity cover basis.

This role will involve developing, co-ordinating and undertaking market research and analysis for a range of commercial businesses at the University of Warwick including Warwick Sport, Warwick Arts Centre, Warwick Conferences and Warwick Food Group.

The successful candidate will support data-driven decision-making and contribute to business growth initiatives

Duties and responsibilities

  • Analysing various sources of customer insight and feedback (e.g. Net Promoter Score from survey kiosks) and providing recommendations to the businesses to improve their products and services
  • Conducting desk research to monitor and benchmark competitors, identify market trends and analyse consumer behaviour
  • Assist in co-ordinating other qualitative and quantitative research activities across multiple business areas as required

Skills and experience

  • Knowledge of market research methodologies, their strengths and limitations, and how they support broader marketing activities
  • Analytical and numerate with good data analysis skills
  • Knowledge of marketing principles and how research drives marketing strategy
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify knowledge gaps and suggest appropriate research solutions
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Good interpersonal skills and ability to work constructively with staff at all levels

Location
Hybrid working with at least 1 day on campus (Swallow House or University House annex)
