Role

We are seeking a motivated researcher to support a range of public health projects within the Public Health Institute. The role involves conducting literature reviews, synthesizing evidence, and contributing to high-quality written outputs across diverse topics, including:
- Public Health approaches to violence reduction
- Childhood adversity
- History of public health
- Religion and health
- Pets and public health
- AI in public health
- Health inequalities
The researcher will collaborate with colleagues across the Faculty (HITS) including other LJMU schools, including Nursing and Advanced Practice and Public and Allied Health. Most work will be campus-based, with some flexibility for remote working.
Duties and responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive literature reviews and evidence synthesis.
- Draft and edit reports, academic papers, and other written outputs.
- Support data analysis and interpretation (SPSS or similar packages desirable).
- Work collaboratively within multidisciplinary research teams.
- Contribute to grant and project planning and dissemination activities.
Skills and experience
Essential Skills and Experience
- PhD
- Strong literature review and evidence synthesis skills.
- Excellent academic writing and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
Desirable Skills
- Quantitative analytical skills using SPSS or similar software.
- Experience in public health or related fields.
