Role

We are looking for some Business/Marketing Students to take part in a Marketing Support Opportunity at UoN.

 

This part-time role offers a unique opportunity for a business or marketing student to support the commercialization of academic research. Working alongside a researcher who has already developed a product, launched a website, and secured licensing agreements, the student will help amplify the research’s visibility through digital marketing. Responsibilities include creating and scheduling content for LinkedIn and blog posts, engaging with online audiences by responding to comments, and contributing ideas to grow the brand’s presence. The position is flexible (approximately 3.5 hours per week).

 

Start Date: 1st December 2025

End Date: 30th June 2026

Working Hours: Approximately 3.5 hours per week to be organised with the manager directly

Pay Rate: £14.52 per hour

Holiday Pay Rate: £1.75 per hour

Location: Remote Working

Dress Code: Smart Casual

Duties and responsibilities

  • Create and schedule engaging content for LinkedIn and blog posts
  • Monitor and respond to comments and messages professionally
  • Support marketing efforts related to research licensing and visibility
  • Collaborate on ideas to grow online presence and audience engagement

Skills and experience

  • Business or marketing student with strong writing and communication skills
  • Familiar with LinkedIn and basic content marketing principles
  • Interested in research, innovation, and commercialization
  • Self-driven, reliable, and open to flexible working hours
