Role
We are recruiting a current Heriot-Watt student for an exciting new internship with the Principal & Vice Chancellor in the area of external communications, storytelling, media and other support. 

 
This internship will last approximately from December 2025 until May 2026. The successful candidate will be expected to work around 10 hours per week, but the specific days and times can be flexible.

Duties and responsibilities
The objective of this internship is to continue to build the reputation of the global University supporting the Vice Chancellor in amplifying personalised stories of successes and opportunities in digital and social media.

Skills and experience

You should have specific skills and abilities in:

  • Coherent and concise writing.
  • Business communication.
  • Communication design, for example, including AI deployment, personalised video production, etc.
  • Personal communication skills (to liaise when appropriate with other comms staff across the University where appropriate using existing external portals).
  • Ability to be familiar or become familiar with research referencing/social media tools such as Wikipedia, ResearchGate, LinkedIn, PURE, Google Scholar, Elici,t etc.
