Description

Role

In this role, you will provide senior administrative support for the non-clinical phase of the UG Medicine course delivered in Nottingham. You will lead and co-ordinate the administration of induction, programme and module delivery and will work closely with the course leads, academics, managers and senior managers responsible for the course. You will coordinate the work of the course administrator.

 

Start Date: 10/11/25

End Date: 31/12/25

Working Hours: 9am -5pm Monday to Friday

Pay Rate: £17.19 per hour

Holiday Pay Rate: £2.07 per hour

Location: QMC, University of Nottingham, NG7 2UH

Dress Code: Smart Casual

Duties and responsibilities

  • Coordinate Course Delivery: Lead administration for Years 1 and 2 of undergraduate medicine, including timetabling, course materials, hospital visits, and online learning.
  • Student Support & Communication: Manage student queries, attendance, absence, communications, and engagement events, ensuring students are well-informed and supported.
  • Quality Assurance & Curriculum Updates: Organise feedback analysis, module reviews, and curriculum changes in collaboration with academic staff.
  • Policy & Documentation Management: Develop procedures, maintain accurate records, and produce reports for internal and external stakeholders.

Skills and experience

  • Strong organisational skills – able to manage complex course administration and coordinate multiple activities simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication – confident in drafting clear, professional communications and engaging with students, academics, and stakeholders.
  • Attention to detail – ensures accuracy in documentation, timetables, and student records.
  • IT proficiency – skilled in using Outlook, Excel, Word. Experience with virtual learning environments a positive.
  • Problem-solving ability – proactive in identifying issues and implementing effective solutions.
  • Knowledge of HE policies and procedures (Desirable but not required) – understands university regulations and curriculum management.
