Description

Role

To undertake statistical analysis of the newly released English Indices of Deprivation 2025, comparing the latest data with previous datasets, and producing an accessible report that tells the story of deprivation in the target communities in Gloucestershire.

  • Highlight areas of persistent deprivation and areas of positive change
  • Present findings in a clear, accessible report for internal and partner use
  • Communicate progress via phone, email, and Teams meetings
  • Work independently to meet tight deadlines (completion required within November)

Skills and experience

  • Postgraduate-level research and analysis skills
  • Strong numerical and statistical analysis abilities
  • Experience with Excel and data analysis tools; knowledge of AI tools for data comparison is desirable
  • Background in sociology, statistics, community development or related discipline preferred
  • Ability to work independently and deliver to tight deadlines
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
