We believe that everyone should be able to take part in culture, wherever they live. We work with artists and communities to make new arts projects and create social change. 

Our flagship programme At The Library is now an Arts Council National Portfolio Organisation, in partnership with Sefton Library Service. We work with local, national and international artists and creative organisations, to make imaginative new creative projects, workshops, happenings and experiences that reach people who do not usually take part. We are a not for profit social business and we also offer consultancy services in fundraising, strategy and creative producing. We reinvest any surplus generated into local community projects, supporting artists and seeding new ideas for creative civic change.

Duties and responsibilities
We are looking for a Communications Assistant who can work with our Programme Producer and Head of Audiences to help deliver our digital, social and print communications, tell our story and reach new audiences. 

 
The post holder will support the delivery of our digital communications (social media, newsletter, website & other online channels), evaluation and programme production. 
 
They will be able to help to document and communicate our projects, create engaging new content and build new online communities as we plan and deliver our busy Spring programme which includes a new Youth Music funded programme, creative projects with the sanctuary-seeking community and creative health. They will also be able to support our evaluation, conducting and recording interviews with artists and participants, telling their story. We have a range of creative programmes and projects that the intern would be able to make a valuable contribution to, creating tangible learning and transferable skills. The intern will be able to take part in planning and production meetings, and see projects develop from the very start.

Skills and experience
The role would suit a someone who is interested in working in a purpose-driven organisation or seeking a future career in arts and culture, marketing communications, social enterprise, charity or the circular economy.

 
Digitally competent (MS Office) 
Competent social media channels and online applications 
Confident communicator, with good written skills 
Attention to detail 
Self-motivated and creative 
Collaborative, with ability to work as part of a team 
Able to undertake and see the value of some routine tasks as part of role Interest in arts, culture and community 
Commitment to and understanding of equality, diversity and inclusion
