NLive Radio is Northampton’s vibrant local radio station, proudly working in partnership with the University of Northampton. We’re passionate about connecting with our community, sharing local voices, and supporting the town’s businesses and organisations. 

As we continue to grow, we’re looking for a driven and enthusiastic Radio Sales Executive to help us expand our commercial reach and build lasting partnerships across the region.

As our Radio Sales Executive, you’ll be the face of NLive Radio in the business community. 

You’ll champion our commercial offerings, build strong relationships with local organisations, and help them connect with our audience through creative advertising solutions.

Duties and responsibilities

- Developing the commercial offers of NLive Radio

- Developing links and relationships with local businesses and organisations

- Selling the commercial offers to local businesses and organisations

- Support the administration around the sales process from advert commissioning to invoicing

- Manage client accounts for campaigns before, during and after

The post holder will be expected to undertake other responsibilities and tasks as reasonably requested by the Station Manager.

The post holder will be responsible and accountable for ensuring all employment legislative requirements are adhered to including equality and diversity and health and safety issues.

Skills and experience

Educated to college level or higher

Industry Certification of Memberships (IPA, CIM etc)

Experience in advertising sales, ideally radio advertising 

Experience in advertising sales, especially business to business

Understanding and Experience of client/account management

Understanding of the law, ethics and industry regulations as they affect radio sales

Ability to adapt to organisational change

Ability to adapt to technological advances in the workplace

Persuasion and negotiation skills

Good Confidence

Self-motivated and able to act without supervision Face-to-face and telephone communication skills

Results and targets driven

Able to form excellent relationships internally and externally

Additional information
Ideally we are looking for a candidate with business to business sales experience and advertising experience in any format.
