Description
Role
We are seeking two diligent and organised individuals to join the University of Leicester supporting the Graduation Office.
In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth production, handling, and dispatch of graduation documentation—specifically certificates and transcripts—for both home and international students. You will also act as a point of contact for graduation-related enquiries during peak periods.
Please note: due to the nature of this work, we are unable to accept applications from current University of Leicester students.
As part of the University’s wider Professional Services community, you will work alongside small teams committed to delivering a high-quality service to graduating students. You will gain insight into university operations, particularly in the lead-up to the ceremonial occasions that mark the culmination of academic journeys.
Duties and responsibilities
In this role you will carry primary responsibility for sorting, quality checking, and enclosing graduation documents, ensuring they meet the University’s standards for accuracy and presentation. You will prepare documentation in time for upcoming Graduation Ceremonies and manage the dispatch of certificates and transcripts to both domestic and international graduates.
Skills and experience
This position demands a meticulous eye for detail: every document must be accurate, correctly packaged, and error-free. You should be comfortable managing high volumes of data and adept at using IT systems to track, sort, and log documents.
Although experience in a Higher Education setting is desirable, it is not essential—comprehensive training will be provided. You must be able to perform reliably under pressure, meeting tight deadlines without compromising quality.
Effective communication is essential: you will liaise with a variety of stakeholders, explaining processes clearly and courteously.
Finally, you must thrive in a small team environment, collaborating with colleagues and adapting to changing priorities.
Location
Main Campus, University of Leicester
